CRT Christ’s Radical Teaching

CRT is in all the news today but what about another CRT?

What would the world look like if everyone decided to follow Jesus Christ (God’s CRT)? We will find out when we get to heaven. There will be no more sin, no more sorrow, no more pain. We won’t be able to disobey God.
It will be perfect.

However, in this world, until then, the decision to obey or disobey is voluntary. God has very graciously given every single human being free will. We see much trouble in this world simply because God’s Word has been forsaken and many refuse to love. It is a sin to refuse to love. When we do that, we have the freedom to ask God for forgiveness. If we don’t we will suffer for it.

Every person has the power to accept or reject Christ. However, we do not have the power to control the consequences of our choices. Our eternal destiny will be decided by our own choices.
We prove our allegiance to Christ by how we live. Obeying Him produces good fruit according to John 15. God wants to bless us but we must cooperate with Him to receive those blessings.

Love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control are the fruits of the Holy Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23. All of us can enjoy that now as we live out a personal relationship with Christ.

Christ has given us two commands: love God and love our neighbor as ourselves. Makes life simple doesn’t it? Even a child can understand that. However, knowing God’s will and choosing to do God’s will are two different things. Loving is not an easy choice if it involves people who harm us or irritate us. The real test of a Christian is to love every single person including our enemies. That is radical!

You have heard that it was said, Love your neighbor and hate your enemy. “But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes the sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Matthew 5:43-48

Christians are admonished in these verses to love everyone without exception. We are to be humble like Christ and consider others more important than ourselves. If we truly love others, we will witness to them by our behavior as well as our words. Becoming more like Christ is what Christianity is all about. As we do, we become more perfect and we glorify the Father.

What would our world look like if Christ had complete control over us? We will experience that when we get to heaven. In the meantime, as Christians, we can bring heaven to earth by our obedience to God. Meanwhile, the world will have much tribulation due to the ability of all to be disobedient to the will of God. The Holy Spirit wants us to submit to Jesus so that we will produce much fruit to the glory of God.

The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.

My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; remain in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.
John 14:21, 15:8-11
