Salvation from Judgment

Raised Hands: Salvation from Judgement | Share the Gift: The Message

There will be a Day of Reckoning for every single person who has ever lived and died.

Ecclesiastes tells us that there is a time for every activity, a time to live and a time to die.

Verse 17 says this:

“God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked,
for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.”

Now we have time as a gift from God to choose Christ as our righteousness. We cannot place any confidence in self-righteousness, we all fall short of perfection. However, that opens the door for the question, how can I become righteous? We are told in Romans 1:17 that the righteous will live by faith from first to last. Where is your faith today? If you were to die tonight and stand before God, what would you say?

If you are in Christ, God will see no condemnation according to Romans 8:1 because Christ took away all of our guilt when we trusted in Him for forgiveness. For those not in Christ, there is no possibility of righteousness since we have unconfessed and unforgiven sin that requires separation from God. Absolutely, positively no sin can be allowed in heaven. Without holiness no one will see God. Hebrews 12:14

Christ came into the world to save all who would believe in Him from judgment. We need to be saved from our sins otherwise we will die in our sins. God provided mercy instead of judgment through Christ. But, we must turn to Him through repentance and confession and be set free from sin and the judgment of sin which is eternal separation from God.

If you are a new believer, today is the day to turn to God and be reconciled to Him forever.
