Finding the Right Bible for You
There are many translation versions of the Bible that are easy to read and Amazon has a great selection to choose from. Consider the reviews to help you decide. Also, consider asking someone who is currently reading the Bible every day which version and reading plan they recommend!
We suggest you start with one of the gospels in the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John) to learn more about Jesus. Even just a chapter a day is a great way to listen to God's Word and start to follow Him.

What should you look for in a church?
Essentials of a Good Church
The church is people not a building or any denomination. The church (individually and corporately) is in relationship with Christ and all other believers.
The church includes ALL who have ever placed their faith in Jesus Christ for the gift of salvation from sin and death and are born again into God's family. This family is the Body of Christ of which Christ is the Head. There is only one Body which transcends geography and time. Jesus called His church His Bride and stated that He would marry her at the end of time. Ephesians 2 tells us that by removing all sin by His blood the church is sanctified or set apart for Christ by Christ and inhabited by the Holy Spirit for resurrection to heaven.
A good church is focused on faith in Christ alone through faith in the Bible alone. Let that be your main guide in finding a place where you can grow in relationship vertically with God and horizontally with other believers.
