Halloween would seem to be the furthest topic from God and salvation but that is not true. God loves every single person who will be in the season as well as all who are not! God wants all to be saved. Romans 2 says that God’s patience is for repentance.
He is giving us time to decide to come to Him or reject Him. It is a real mystery why God would love the unlovable and we can all consider ourselves in that category. In Matthew 5:43-48, Jesus says that if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? The real question is do you love those who may not love you? Do you love those who have values opposite you?

Ever since Adam and Eve covered themselves with fear and shame in Genesis 3, their descendants have tried to hide from God – that is all of us. All of us are born with original sin which motivates us to fear God’s disapproval. But God has decided to graciously reconcile us to Him through Jesus Christ.All of us are encouraged to take off our spiritual masks of guilt and be real with God. We are called to come out of darkness and into the light.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. John 3:16-21
